LiveAquaria® Professional Magnesium Chloride is pure magnesium chloride available in convenient bulk sizes to offer experienced aquarists a cost-saving way to raise and maintain proper magnesium levels in coral reef aquariums. Magnesium plays an important role in helping to stabilize the correct combination of calcium, alkalinity, and pH values in the reef aquarium.
LiveAquaria® Professional Magnesium Chloride can be used alone or as a component of a three-part alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium supplement system (Balling Method) to help ensure healthy, vigorous growth of corals, coralline algae, clams, snails, and other invertebrates. Just 1 teaspoon of LiveAquaria® Professional Magnesium Chloride per 10 gallons of water will raise magnesium levels by approximately 14 ppm. For use in marine aquariums only.

Directions &; Dosage
Do not add LiveAquaria® Professional Magnesium Chloride directly to your aquarium water. Create a solution at the prescribed dosage detailed below. Always test magnesium levels prior to use. Magnesium concentration found in natural seawater is between 1250-1350 ppm. Due to the sensitivity of marine organisms, it is not advisable to raise magnesium levels by more than 100 ppm per 24 hours.
DOSAGE: Add one teaspoon (4.4 grams) per 10 gallons to raise magnesium by approximately 14 ppm. Dissolve required amount in RO/DI water and slowly add to a high flow area, ideally into a sump. Re-test and repeat dose until desired level is reached.
NOTE: Due to the variation of granular size, conversion between volume and weight of powdered products are approximate; as a precaution, dose less than the calculated amount and measure the effect before adding the total amount.
CAUTION: This product becomes hot when mixed with water, use rubber gloves. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash hands after handling.
STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry place with lid tightly sealed. Keep out of reach of children.
